The city of Frankfurt pulsates on the Main: the centre of the retail and finance metropolis lies on a river crossing where the old and new city centres combine all the facets of a city of international standing. Banking, shopping, culture and leisure interact at a high level.

The “Best Part of Frankfurt” in between the river Main, the historic city and the banking quarter

The project site is located between the banking quarter and the historic city centre, in the front row of the Main riverbank. The site, with the former headquarters of the Degussa industrial group, has not been open to the public for many decades. It separates the city centre from the river and the public parks on the lower quay by a length of a quarter of a kilometre.

Up to now, the prime front-row location on the Main is used by office buildings that were built by Degussa over the past few decades.
